Originally by: Ore Surveyor Your insight as a 'casual player' is poor, to say the least. This new campaign to nerf the missions is based on one patch, and one mission. Sorry to burst your newbie bubble, but this has been going on for years and its called balancing.
Do you know what nerfing means? It doesn't mean 'to ruin' as many of you would gladly have us believe. Nerfing is decreasing/diminishing something for the purpose of making it fair, such as the case of unbalanced mission rewards. Its the exact opposite of boosting unpopular missions, and there has been no shortage of that. And you don't seem to be opposed to that change at all.. so what gives?
For someone who doesn't get the Infiltrated Outpost mission so much, you seem to have some very deeply rooted concerns. Maybe you feel threatened that this trend will continue to the point where you feel you can't keep up with the rest of EVE?
Good.
The fact that your grand solution to "fixing" 0.0 has already been done - and failed to actually "fix" it means that CCP need to start taking a look at the real reason for so many people in empire: risk versus reward.
There is no one, and I repeat again, no one stopping you from sitting in empire hugging your agents until the day EVE shuts down. If you wish to avoid any sort of danger, politics, or the other things which make this a massively multiplayer online game.. you can.
But that doesn't entitle you to hoard resources and funds in your Jita cave like some mythical dragon. If you want the isk (and therefore, power) to participate in high level gameplay, you should have to leave the low level areas to support it.
Your singular attempt at breaking into the 0.0 scene failed because;
a) you're probably not a very good pilot, considering you died in a cloaking frigate
and
b) you gave up so easily
..which by all logic, is understandable. Where would you get the experience in high security space to know anything about mobile warp bubbles, interdictors or pvp dynamics? And why would you consider giving it a second try if you honestly did not have to?
0.0 is not a novelty or a "pvp zone", its EVE itself. And maybe, a few more months and patches down the line, the catastrophic failure which the Exodus expansion brought will have been reversed enough for people such as yourself to finally move on. Whether that evolution is to another game more suitable to your grinding tastes (I recommend something Korean (ekekek ^____^;;)) or finally partaking in the multiplayer experience of 0.0 is up to you.
wow, your deep. let me get my "must play the game the way YOU think" hat on.
do those hats come in tinfoil?
